Reddit marketing gigs

Updated October 2026

Reddit is one of the best places for a new app to find its first users, and one of the easiest to get banned from. Builders need someone who knows how communities actually work.

What the work is

  • Finding the 5–10 communities where the app's problem is already discussed.
  • Reading each community's rules, and asking moderators where self-promotion needs approval.
  • Writing posts that lead with the problem and a useful answer, not an ad.
  • Sometimes: finding testers or first users for an app in communities you're already part of.

What doesn't fly

Fake accounts, vote buying and astroturfing get apps banned and break Reddit's rules. Gigs on Shoutyard are for real participation: honest posts, clearly from or about the app, inside each community's rules.

Typical gigs

About $100–400 for researching communities and posting within their rules, at a fixed price agreed upfront.

Where to find these gigs

Shoutyard is the distribution marketplace for vibe coders. Builders post their app and what they need; you send a short fixed-price offer. Free to join.
